futuristic make up design on metropolis ..

I've based my make up designs on the metropolis film

i thought the film was weird and i didn't really enjoy it at all,

but the clips i have taken out are the clips that

have inspired my make up choice.

I have fallen in love with Illamasqua, its absoloutly amazing,

so glad i researched it.

i feel as though this post doesn't really need evaluation its pretty self explanitory,

the shoot went alright but it could have been better if i had done it at a better time in the day and the light was correct, bit of a shame but thats the only down side, i got the images i needed.

Metropolis, Lauren carrick

Was really impressed with a few of the images from the 2nd

make up metropolis shoot, these are the images above,

and the next post. There not as edited, as some of the other pictures

i have done for the metropolis section have been i only tweeked the

contrast levels ever so slightly, desaturated a few

and history brushed.

I feel as though the location shoot was the least of my worries but am glad that i have finally finished it, i think it went as well as it could but i could have dealt with my time management a lot better, as always. After many conversations with the group i think we all feel the same way, none of us have been able to get into the swing of things this term. Out of my two final images i prefer the later one, the colored image, i just feel as though the image tells more of a story which is more my style, In saying that i do really like the top image, i think the final overlay of the map of oxford really made the image come into it's own and have a completely different character.

This is the final mix i feel as though this image is done!

i love how all the colors are blending and how busy yet plainly

striking it is in its own right.

Collage of circuit board and scafolding.

combining images seems to be a theme in this brief, i have done

this throughout, i think the colors work really well together and the sky makes

the whole scene look more natural, making the circuit board not stand out.

I also think this image is not quite final material

but its not very far from it.

Complete Oxford shoot sheets

I was really really pleased with my oxford shoot, even though i only really used two or three of the actual oxford images, to edit and use for an outcome or experimentation. i was really pleased with the images of Niki and the reflection too but they didn't edit the way i wanted them too, i was going to use the reflection of the building in her glasses onto blue Lego bricks but Maurice never brought the bricks in and a picture i found online wasn't the correct size and editing the size of the Niki image wasn't very successful.

Two edited images.

Aside the fact i am calling this two edited images,

there not strictly edited, well not over edited i think they

actually looked better desaturated than they did color

and i tweeked the contrast levels ever so slightly.

Circuit board, Contact sheet.

To the left is a contact sheet for some images i have taken and some i have edited for the circuit board shoot, i really like the first two the slightly out of focus side slant circuit board images, i think they have worked really well but it was a bit of a shame that i couldn't collage them in with other images, it just didn't look right. The last three images are collaged images from the circuit board shoot and the oxford shoot, i didn't think they were very good, because of the offish perspective, but Maurice really liked them so up they came.
